compassion weekend 2026

Our Compassion Weekend was a huge success! We had a fantastic turnout both Thursday afternoon and Saturday, and the beautiful weather made it even better. So many wonderful and important programs were impacted through the generous sharing of our time and talents. Thank you to everyone who served, supported, and showed Christ’s love in action!

  • We heard that the parks department chair was amazed at how much work was accomplished at various parks in such a short time.
  • The healthcare clinic was an amazing event, blessing not only the uninsured who received care, but also those who volunteered.
  • There were so many smiles and laughs (and some deep competition) at Maple Creek. The activity director said that it is the most people they have ever had attend an event.
  • We continue to appreciate our partnership with World Vision and the great work that they do around the world.
  • The group at Grave Concerns, quickly installed 90 tombstones. In a few months, all 3,218 of the gravestones will have been installed.
  • The quilters worked hard all day and filled our church with beautiful colors and mailed off 93 quilts and 51 health kits to Lutheran World Relief
  • Community and family at Blessed Temple had a wonderful afternoon of food, games and fellowship.
